Summary:

Trag 2012 Despotika wineryColor very dark maroon with purple hue. In nose, blackberry and plum and a little vanilla in the background. Medium to full body, in the mouth velvet structure, fruit, classic Merlot, plum jam.
Alcohol is noticeable, and the impact of Serbian oak too, but everything is well blended, and there are no strong acids typical for Merlot from central Serbia. Nicely rounded tannin also present. Long finish, plum, vanilla little wood, and some other spices.

What else ?  It is one of the best Merlot in central Serbia. at this moment, still young although is entering into its fourth year. It seems to have a great potential and I’d really like to try it at the beginning of 2020 .

Jo Nesbo Devil StarJo Nesbo “The Devil’s star”
Classical detective story, (a little softer than in his other books), but very interesting and highly focused on characters.
So it is a good match for this classical varietal wine which is also very focused and interesting Merlot.
