Fourth Beogourmet or ” Beogourmet autumn 2016″ (as it is officially named) with the new concept “replace quantity to quality”. An exquisite selection of foreign quality wines with the mandatory presence of winemakers (rather than local dealer) proved to be the right solution.. Belgrade audience eager for new experiences warmly received guests from abroad and they have been nice to pay tribute to their wines and answering for all and visitors’ requests and questions. If we tried to describe this event in one word, it would be “indigenous”. Guests from abroad are mostly shown wines from the local native grape varieties , and it is also a special treat and enjoyment of the Belgrade wine lovers.
And now a brief description:
The first guest of Champagne, “Champagne Alexandre Bonnet” winery, very great interest. We especially liked their white Brut of pure Pinot Noir..
“Herdade de Maroteria” winery from Portugal, presented the entire range of their white and red wines. Beautiful, soft and at the same time strong flavors, very nicely received by the local fans. Highlights: “Cem Reis’ white..
“Fattoria Eolia” small winery from the Veneto region, Italy, and its friendly owner, Mr Giovanni Zini showed a very tasty organic wine from the classic varieties in the original packaging. Highlights: sparking wine from Muscat and red blend CS-M.
Guests from Slovakia “Vinidi” winery also unselfishly display the entire range of its wines from local varieties, .We were thrilled with red wine from domestic clone cultivar grape Dunaj.. Incredibly powerful, tannic, velvety.
“Rutini Wines” from Argentina sent to the Belgrade full plate of their red wines. Their charming representative Mr. Lautaro Aporta, (local ladies declared he like “Wine Ricky Marten”) successfully fought the crowd there on their stand.
Highlights Malbec in all forms !
From brotherly Greece we hosted Oenogenesis winery and Mr. Bakis Tsalkos, who was patiently explaining to Belgrade wine lowers about of the Greek local wines. Highlights: white combination of Assyrtiko and Sauvignon Blanc and red mix of Xinomavro and Merlot.
From the neighboring Croatian one by valuable guest, “Belje” winery with their range of white Grasevina (Weichreisling), for which some say are the best in Croatia.
Honor of Serbian winemakers defended by Mr Milovanovic from “Srz” winery with its excellent Pinot Noir .
And finally there was the representative of the “Louis Royer Cognac”. company and their brand 70 years old cognac, right delicacy for all visitors.
Mostly large crowds, big hall of the Majestic hotel at one moment was too small for all visitors.
Eagerly await the spring edition of Beogourmet and congratulate to the Mr. Stanisic and “Kuca Vina” company, to the great organized wine event.
