Belgrade promotion of the book “Wine Stories from Istria and Kvarner ” by Zeljko Garmaz. For the first time I was in the event that has entered in the wine-lovers legends here. Hedonist,journalist, adventurer, wine-lover or just “our Zeljko” (full name Željko Garmaz :)) promoted his new, fourth in line, book about wnes of Croatia. In fact, it was more a meeting of friends who came to salute this always-dear guest. Luxuriously wine bar Vino Bar & Shop (acca “Boris place” ) was crowded with domestic wine=lovers.As well as several times before, last night writer brings more than 40 different wines from his archive, almost everything from Croatia that got 90 and more at Decanter,and in “live” presented stories from his book Great night , TNX Zeljko ! Zeljko Garmaz, biography
Born in Trebinje, a posch capital of stone Herzegovina. He grew up on the Adriatic coast in Ploce city. Studied journalism in Sarajevo. Lived in Split, Luxembourg, London, Zagreb and for 27 years wrote for many Croatian newspapers and magazines. Then he found the love of his life, his beautiful colleague Maya, and went to live in Osijek, Pannonia Plain.He also decided to become a freelance writer. Since then, he has written 6 books in his own edition, 4 of them with wine themes.
