Dark red color with a purple hue.The smell of dark cherry, blackberry and vanilla. Body of medium to full, strong for the Gamay, noticeable acid, strong tannin, a little spice. and much beautiful wood. Also, alcohol is nicely incorporated (almost 15%). Medium long finish, spicy, with fruit acid, a little harsh but pleasant.
What else? Unusual taste for Gamay from Negotin, (by the style and power more like to CS) but very drinkable. This is one of the “highlighted”t wines from new “Raj”winery, which is caused quite an interest in local wine scene with their first harvest. New and non-classical., we’ll write about it here again.
